It's true: "conservatism" makes "conservatives" die sooner
But of course "conservatives" would rather have their guns
If you haven’t read this article in the Washington Post, you’re missing something fun.
The statistics are in and it turns out that “conservatism” kills its adherents.
We’ve known for some time that COVID rates are higher in red states than in blue states. That’s not surprising, since “conservatives” made wearing masks, and then vaccines, issues of “stupid identity” instead of medical fact.
But this article goes far beyond the normal idiocy of “conservative beliefs.” It shows that liberal beliefs and policies are far better for human beings than “conservative” beliefs and policies.
I don’t want to ruin your delight if you choose to read the article, so let me just quote one wonderful paragraph:
The October report found that if all states implemented liberal policies on the environment, gun safety, criminal justice, health and welfare, labor, marijuana, and economic and tobacco taxes, more than 170,000 lives would have been saved in 2019. On the flip side, if states went with conservative versions of those policies, there would have been about 217,000 more deaths that year — “the equivalent of a 600-passenger airplane crashing every day of the year,” the study said.
Yes, that’s right, fellow liberals. We’ve been right all along and “conservatives” have been wrong. And they are so wrong that their beliefs and policies killed 387,000 more people in 2019 (217,000 + 170,000). Who knows how many more they kill year after year?
The article goes on to tie this lowered life expectancy to “conservative” leadership, idiotic “libertarian” attitudes, and other stupid “conservative” notions.
Of course, it doesn’t do any good to tell these truths to “conservatives.” They will either deny them or insist that it’s better to live stupid than long.
So they are killing themselves with their foolish “beliefs.”
That’s another good reason to live in the blue states, where the rational, productive, and non-stupid people live.
“I verbatim quoted WAPO and used it as a meme. The irony of this is amazing
