I haven’t posted in a couple of weeks because, as I have noted before, I’ve been too angry to write cogently.
The public behavior of “conservatives” has become so blatantly offensive and anti-social that I haven’t been able to stop ranting at the daily transgressions of the off-the-rails GOP.
From out-of-control, corrupt Supreme Court “justices,” to the House GOP taking the military budget hostage (because that worked so well for them with the debt ceiling battle) to Florida’s insistence that students be taught slavery was good for slaves to GOP gun-worship forcing decent people to establish nonprofits to try to make a dent in the violence “conservatives” love to violent country-music fantasies of doing harm to the urbanites who fund the permanent red-state bailout of selfish and unproductive “conservatives”—there is nothing but outrage after outrage coming from the American right.
I’m reminded of the great essay on the natural superiority of liberalism by Philip E. Agre, “What Is Conservatism and What Is Wrong with It?” If you’ve never read it, please check it out.
One of the many memorable sentences in that essay is this: Democracy is the right way to live, and conservatism is the wrong way.
Why is that? Because “conservatives” are degenerate human beings whose inner compasses are aligned to power and control. “Conservatism” is just oligarchy by another name. And oligarchy is degenerate aristocracy. That is why Agre identifies it with aristocracy, and why he identifies liberalism—the opposite of “conservatism”—with democracy.
“Conservatives” are essentially and fundamentally worse people than liberals. Of course liberals are not perfect. Everyone has flaws. But taken as a whole, liberals understand justice and equality whereas “conservatives” do not.
That is the root of all this horrid “conservative” behavior. The degeneracy of the “conservative” soul was released by Trump, who was put into the presidency by “conservatives” to do just that—release them from the shackles of having to pretend that they were decent Americans when they never were.
If you’d like a deep dive into the pathology of “conservatives” that shows were all their evilness comes from, check out my new book, Conservative Estimate.
It shows that everything that “conservatives” think they “believe” is not only wrong, but motivated by deep character derangements that compel them to behave like power-crazed, cowardly sociopaths.
I’m still angry, and I can see a rant coming that wouldn’t be interesting to read.
So let me just thank everyone who has already picked up the book and everyone who will!
Yes! Except that they would probably take out a gun and kill you—and then get off because you frightened them and they had to "stand their ground."
Thanks for your support, Tommy!
